Bumala Auction 2010
Saturday 25th September 2010
All money raised will go towards equipping our new safe house (Margaret's Haven) in Bumala.
Decoy Primary School supports Masabula Primary School in Bumala, they have been raising funds to build a block of classrooms for this school. The classrooms are nearly complete and are being used.
Gill O'Neil head teacher of Decoy very kindly allowed us to hold the Auction at Decoy School.
This safe house will be called Margaret's Haven, named after the lady who donated the funding needed to build this dwelling.
The house has seven rooms which can accommodate 12 children plus the house lady who will look after them. These vulnerable children have no homes as their parents have all died and there are no other members of the family left who are able to support them. They live at present with Peter in his house and with Esnas our carer.
The money that has been raised from the Auction will equip this safe house with beds, bedding, mosquito nets and other items needed, and will also enable the charity to feed, educate and see to these children's needs in the house for up to one year.
