Home Life - Belinda is HIV, she also has a lot of problems with her legs they give her great pain, and often weep fluid, this has been affecting her for several years. Esnas (our social worker) has to take her to the hospital in Busia about 30 miles away, to get her cream and medication, this like all medication and treatment has to be paid for.
Sleeps on floor with grandmother and chickens in same hut.
Belinda also has to go to the clinic with Christopher, Ivon and Joanne, to get blood tested and medication, this often takes all day.
She enjoys - English, science, netball at school.Out of school cooks, collects firewood and water from river, Likes matoke to eat.
School Report - Belinda is in the highest in her class at School. Belinda is an intelligent but very sickly girl and often not at school so has done very well to be top of her class.
Wants to be a driver and own a car.
