Success Stories
Selestine:
This is what a difference sponsoring makes, from no hope to hope. Since she has been sponsored she has blossomed from a shy and poorly little girl, to a happy and confident girl.

Her first report from school puts her position in her class as number 33 out of 81 children - a great start!
More success stories from four orphans we sponsored through School:
First is from Douglas who has been accepted into University, he is studying for a two year degree in Bachelor of Science in the Faculty of Science.
A thank you letter from Douglas:
Hope you are fine. As for me I am fine seriously preparing for my admission in August.
I once again want to thank you for the good heart you had for taking me through my secondary studies. Actually I had no hope after my parents passed away but through GOD in you I managed to recover my dream. Without you I couldn't have stepped at a university. I everyday pray for you and everybody who contributed to ensure that I go to school. And I promise not to let you down under your sponsorship. May GOD help you live longer so that you may live to enjoy the fruits you planted through me.
The government will pay two thirds of the fees, Douglas has to find another £700 to cover the remaining fees, books and Accommodation. We have had a donation to cover half of these fees, Douglas will being funding the rest himself by working.
Robert
When Robert left school he undertook an Apprenticeship course in panel beating in Nairobi during this course he was supported by the Swiss Tropical Institute, this course finished in 2010 . Robert was able with his cousin to start his own panel beating business. The Swiss Tropical Institute donated equipment to help him establish this business. Peter and Anne (Trustee) went with Robert to purchase a Jet Pump and various tools he needed. Robert has told the Trust that he is willing to come to Bumala next year to train other orphans in Panel beating.
Harrison
The Trust helped Harrison with school fees for two years; he has since left school with a good grade and is now working in a school in Nairobi as a trainee teacher.
Maurene
Maurene left Primary School last term and did not achieve enough points to go to Secondary School, she showed an interest in hairdressing and beauty, and is now in a Polytechnic boarding school on a two year course. Not all of our children are academic, sometimes this is due to their home life, where they do not get time to study and the lack of schooling at an early age, but they deserve a chance. Maurene is very happy at this Polytechnic and we are hoping that she does well and comes out with the qualifications needed.
